    Bioshock system specs

    Specs confirmed:

    Operating Systems:

    * Windows XP (with Service Pack 2) or Windows Vista

    Minimum System Requirements:

    * CPU: Pentium 4 2.4GHz Single Core processor
    * System RAM: 1GB
    * Video Card: Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 128MB RAM (NVIDIA 6600 or better/ATI X1300 or better, excluding ATI X1550).
    * Sound Card: 100% direct X 9.0c compatible sound card
    * Hard disc space: 8GB free space

    Recommended System Requirements:

    * CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo processor
    * System RAM: 2GB
    * Video card: DX9: Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT or better). DX10: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 or better
    * Sound Card: Sound Blaster¿ X-Fi™ series (Optimized for use with Creative Labs EAX ADVANCED HD 4.0 or EAX ADVANCED HD 5.0 compatible sound cards)

    Important Note: Game requires Internet connection for activation.

    thats the highest recommended ive ever seen tbh. dual core recommended lol. crazy spec. Makes my rig seem so far behind

    wow dual core is recommended now how long till we see quad cores as recommended specs lol

    I need a gfx card my 9800 pro aint cutting the mustard any more lol hopefully ill get this new job, then 8800 here i come

    No. System always list Intel offerings as default. Not sure why though. Its not to say x2 cant handle it.

    Take a look at my system specs.

    Now think why I'm getting this for the 360

    It's interesting that you need an internet connection for activation. Maybe it will work like steam to avoid piracy.

    8800? if i where you i would wait forthe second generation dx10 cards because there are new dx10 game benchmarks leaking around the net and teh performance on a 8800 and on the new ATI cards are very bad.

    its no surprise realy has it is the first of its kind

    And like everyone has mentioned. buy a 360 and your sorted

    To all those recommending a 360 instead:

    Those recommended settings for the PC version are so that it can be played at twice (+) the resolution of the 360 version with much better quality of graphics as well.

    If you want to play the game the way it's meant to be played, it's got to be the PC everytime.
