Gears of War on PC?...

I've just come across this footage of what appears to be Gears of War on PC. It features a bunch of new content and seems smoother than the 360 version. Check it out.

PS Maybe this should have some '12' age warning or something? Pretty bloody gritty in places (and all the more impressive because!)

Yeah spotted that yesterday. Looks good. I play a lot of gears on the 360 so really looking forward to this especially with the new content!

I hope it does get a port across - one of the only reasons i bought a 360 to play this online, bet it would be so called vista only if it ever did get ported !

I wouldn't be so sure - Its based on the Unreal engine. I dont think it would be long before that problem was 'solved' if it was Vista only

Gears of War is one of those games I would really want to play but couldn't justify splashing out for a 360 just for this game. Hope it does get released on PC as I remember the dev's saying something about them not even thinking about a PC port a little while back.

I remember a lot of folk saying this would never happen.. And then there are the one's who believe it's impossible to make it work on a keyboard/mouse..

It may be cross-platform (assuming you pay for Windows Live Gold, of course) but if there is a bunch of new content then they're going to have to roll it out to Xbox players too.

Only the multiplayer aspects of it.

Heck, For all we know, they could replace a weapon or 2, and have each system with 'exclusive' content. Doubtful, but time will tell

Although I already have it for 360, I may get it for PC cos' the LAN action would be awesome.

I watched 2 videos from gamespot about this and one from somewhere else where it was a dev talk thorough - they said that the single player will have extra content in terms of levels and that the multiplayer wouldnt be cross-platform, not at release time anyway. Dont shoot the messenger!

But it looks awesome... With this, UT3, Crysis, Bioshock, there are finally enough reasons to warrant me making a new build to cope with games. My PC has been criminally underused for a while.
