Not sure on the legality aspect on this, so I shall phrase carefully.....
My kid expressed a desire to play computer games of the platform variety, and being a Sega fanboy as a youth, figured it was my duty to introduce him to Sonic (honestly, I never got that fat plumber fella). There's a cool online version http://www.freeworldgroup.com/games/sonic/index.html with a flying bunny character....
But then I may or may not have happened upon a Sega emulator called Gens parcelled with a number of games, and I may or may not have downloaded it, and may or may not have spent thrashing my way through Desert Strike, Micro Machines, Flashback, Shadow Run, and various incarnations of Sonic....
OH MY GOD
what fun (I may or may not have had). Those were the days.
And I thought the graphics would have really aged, but while a little blocky, Sonic is as fast as every (if a little stretched on my 2407).
May or may not be highly recommended.
(I know emulators are old hat, but I remember having to piss around getting the damn things working, then ROMs were a pain in the proverbial to find. And if they are legal, that was a hell of a lot of 'may or may nots' wasted).
