    This first lot look like the ingame stuff seen at E3 etc, one of the sniper shots look awesome, just because of the signature "scale" of far cry, a whole settlement stretches out in front of you. The last lot are the older digitally painted concept art.

    The ingame ones look ace though. it's what STALKER should have looked like. Yeah stalker was massive but most of it was empty space. Just a barn or a hut dotted around. The only really impressive bit was the end in the city, despite it being pretty it was almost toally linear from that point no exploring or people to find etc etc.

    If the "facts" posted over here are to believed it will use a heavily modified CryEngine1, but will have DX10 and QuadCore support.

    Erm... Dorza just posted two links from the official sites with 'Far Cry 2' announcements..... Or is that and the fact it was shown at E3 not enough to justify its 'realness'?

    Re: First Far Cry 2 Images

    By now most of us know Far Cry 2 is around the corner and is scheduled to be released in Spring 08. Recently the first ingame video was put on the internet and the singleplayer campaign does look to be very promising!

    It was also noticable that a lot of things have changed in Far Cry 2; Jack Carver is gone, we are now in Africa and singleplayer has now been designed as a really open ended world.

    So far no information has been released with regard to the plans for Far Cry multiplayer. Whilst it would seem obvious to us that Ubisoft would include Assault again as in Far Cry 1, we cannot be sure whether or not this is planned to be included.

    To really convince Ubisoft about the nessecity to include this unique gamemode once again in Far Cry 2 a petition has been launched to get Assault in Far Cry 2:
    www,petitionspot.com/petitions/farcry2assault

    I ask everyone who has loved and/or loves the Assault gametype to spend a minute of your time signing the petition. We will make sure Ubisoft gets to see it!

    Re: First Far Cry 2 Images

    FarCry = Awesome
    FarCry 2 = Double the awesomeness

    That is some lovely looking concept art.
    And some good looking screens.I don't think this will be as big as FarCry.
