Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars *Spoilers*

So, I finally completed all 3 campaigns.
Over all (apart from the lame NOD ending which is a direct inclination of an up coming expansion), it left me an awesome impression!

Fast paced game play, excellent story line, awesome graphics, great music and the most destructive weapons I’ve ever come across in an RTS game!
The ION cannon blasts, the Avatar War Mechs, the Mammoth Tanks, the Planetary Assault Carriers & storm Rider spaceships, just rule!

The GDI rely greatly on a steamroller effect, devastating anything on their path, the NOD on stealth and nuclear blasts and the Scrin on mass scale air strikes!

What I loved the most was the Intelligence Date base of each of the 3 factions, gathered with the completion of each level.

The GDI present a darker & more sinister approach to the story, the NOD a more fanatical and idealistic view, where as the Scrin are more realistic and objective not to mention surprised by the situation on earth!

Specifically I loved this Scrin report:

.. Indigenous population aligned into two major factions

... These factions continued combat operations between them even as they were threatened with extinction by our initial attack

Indigenous population is warlike to the extreme - once Threshold activation is complete and gateway is open, entire indigenous population must be cleansed

I was very pleased to see Kane reappearing, as he’s the coolest, most sinister and mysterious character in the C&C universe.
An interesting fact is that he has been appearing through out the whole C&C time span, ranging from the 1950’s (during the events in Red Alert 1, as an advisor to Stalin) and all the way to the event of Tiberium Wars in 2047 as the charesmatic leader of the NOD! But he always appears young and untouched by the hand of time!
This is implying that he’s in fact immortal, not human or some Demon! He could also be linked to the biblical Cain (Kane) the first murderer after killing his brother in a struggle, which would explain why he has been going on living through out the ages!

Along with Dune2, Dune2000 & Tiberian Sun this is the best RTS ever imo!
I can’t wait for the expansion pack!

I quite like it.

Which is saying alot for me... because I am a picky ba$%^&$.

I still think the game called "C&C Tiberium Sun" (not Tiberium Wars), is the best RTS available though. I am quite annoyed to be honest, because this game doesn't live up to Tiberium Sun especially well. It was just such an epic. In my opinion anyway. There where some great maps in that game, and there where also a few huge maps. There was one called "Night of the Mutants", which was enormous...

The stealth aspect seemed better too. It allowed people to completely vanish... and that happened a lot. It was common that you would explore the whole map, and there would be absolutely no sign of the enemy at all... "Uh oh" you would think, and it got really tense, because you had no idea how big they where. Its possible they where just a small base with hardly any units... and they where stealthed, and hiding in the corner somewhere... Or its possible they owned practically the entire map, had a billion tanks, multiple bases, and everything was stealthed, and they where just toying with you.

Then there was the sub-terranian attacks. All would be calm, and then you would hear, "Subterranian vehicle detected".. and you would wet your pants. A moment later, a vehicle would pop out of the ground with half a dozen engineers in it, and capture your entire base. (Or once you had mastered the game... it was YOU doing that to your enemies ).

Then there was the base based EMP. So some spotty 12 year old kid thinks he is going to "PWN" you, by just mass producing 500 tanks. So he spends all his time and money making 500 tanks and sends them straight at your base. Just before they reach your base, you fire your EMP on them, and it freezes them all in their tracks. You then easily destroy two thirds of them with just a handful of rocket men and a few of your own tanks, to which he shouts, "OMG DUDE YOU MOT££&&$^&$""!!!!!".

Or someone has a similar plan, and decides to just build a hundred bombers.. "Mwahahaa!" they think to themselves, thinking about sending the huge squadren of bombers to flatten your entire base in about 2 seconds. So they build their bombers and send them at you... and 2 seconds before they reach your base, you activate your Fire Wall, and they all burst into flames and crash into the ground You then walk over your cocky enemy who has no money left after wasting it all on a bunch of planes you killed with one well timed click.

I just found it to be the best RTS I have played. Although this one does come fairly close, but it bugs me that its not better than that old game.. And it also bugs me that its not much better than Generals & Zero Hour. Infact, theres many people who prefer Zero Hour.

Its a decent game though anyway. I like it a lot more than Supreme Commander anyway.

I've started playing C&C Red Alert 1, since it was the only one from the series I never completed back in the day.

Re: Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars *Spoilers*

At the end of the Scrin campaign, it is mentioned by the Supervisor that that creature (Kane) all ready exists in their vast and ancient data bank, but his genetic structure is of unknown origin?!

Also,in the GDI intro when EVA is referring to the NOD controlled yellow zones, some interesting images are shown of massive NOD War Mechs which were not available as units in C&C3 nor any of the previous C&C games (At least by the NOD). They look much more sinister to the GDI Titans, Wolverines or Mammoth M.K.II Mechs.

Are these references to older NOD obsolete exotic technologies and ancestors of the Avatar War Mechs, or are they new forthcoming NOD units for the next expansion pack?
