    Re: Neverwinter Nights 2

I loved the first one and its expansions but have not looked at NW2 due to some of the reviews when it first came out. Problems with viewing angles and performance issues on even relatively well specced pc's. Maybe they been resolved now with later patch's? Would like to know if so.

    Re: Neverwinter Nights 2

I'm up for it but don't have a day off from work till next Friday so won't be able to beforehand. Either way I love it, captures the feel of the first one and is pretty addictive. Only thing I'm not to keen on is the way they have done the worldmap on this one. I'm a fair way into it now but on a really difficult bit where you have to clear out a house full of enemies in the city.

Give me a shout and we can work some co op out

    Re: Neverwinter Nights 2

it's not a bad game but nowhere as good as the first one. A was nearly suicidal playing the first one as I got pretty far into it and my hard drive crashed and I lost everything including the save file...

    Re: Neverwinter Nights 2

NWN2 isn't a patch on NWN1. I played NWN multiplayer until I literally had to stop for fear of it sucking up ALL of my time, it was frighteningly addictive and served as a wake-up call to how much I gamed back then. It was an awesome multiplayer experience though, and my wizard Boron The Grey was pretty much the most powerful wizard on the server.

NWN2 is ok, but havent finished it yet and haven't tried the multiplayer due to hearing it's not that hot.

    Re: Neverwinter Nights 2

I used to play the original. It was great multiplayer and my psychopatic dwarf character was always fun! I still have all of the disks and may well reinstall it.

However have just got no. 2 and would like to give the multiplayer a go.

Joshwa, I will pm you later in the week.

Like the Single player quite a lot. Multiplayer is still a long way off though.

    Re: Neverwinter Nights 2

Multiplayer wouldn't stand up on a Lan even with all the latest patches, kept getting sync and crash issues on c2d machines and high powered amd64's.

Somethign major wrong with the code from i've seen. Single player is lots and lots of fun tho.

NWN1 multiplayer owns 2 for stablity tho.

keep forgetting about this one, Haven't tried the multiplayer, and I'm not that far into the game (just about finished the watch quests trying to get into the locked down part of the city, iirc). I'll have to start playing this again.

    Re: Neverwinter Nights 2

I was expecting great things from NWN 2, I was disappointed with it overall, while it improved several aspects and had a few cools. The original state of the game was quite bad, bad performance and bugs that were really annoying.

I never played multi player on the first one, I really should of but when I got into NWN 1 the multi player scene was immense and I felt overwhelmed on where to join so I never bothered. Really would like to try.

You should play the first one, the original campaign is really good.

Then you should Some places (like the one I mentioned) are still designed for people new to multiplayer or even RPGs and would go out of their way to help you join in.

I reccommend the Patnix.nl server for NWN 1... it's the one I played on and very very well run and good to play,
