ok It turns out they have messed up the countdown timer, in that the timer was based on your computers clock, rather than bieng your release time. This means that its out 10am Pacific time.

Which means 17:00 GMT :/

this is not a spoiler, just my impressions from playing it a few times


had the demo for a while now since the closed release a couple of months ago.

what can i say about it, well it looks like the name suggests, weapons and figures similar to the quake series and movement and backgrounds like RTCW and enemy territory.

it was ok, take a bit to get used to and would play it again but wouldn't rush out to buy it. but willing to reinstall and try it again.

The misses wants to play it desperately, but I keep telling her my old pc won't hack it...I'm now having my arm twisted to buy it and let he use my rig....not effing likley!

It's a reasonable spec, but not enough to play ET:QW I don't think.

I'm gonna try to get here into Team Fortress 2, I know that PC handles the source engine nicely. I also think it might be more what she wants from a game. She was always a little gun-ho in Q3 Arena!

Cool, thanks for the link. I noticed that the windows version is for a file named ETQuakeWarsDemoSetup.exe.gpg.

gpg is normally associated with GNU PGP encryption, so any ideas what needs to be done with the file once its downloaded?

Hm, saw a comment on another site about these files, and someone suggested you need a key to be able to use them. No idea.
