looking at getting a new mesh pc, but i got 1 query the original link posted above, but its basically asking 2x8600gt 256mb sli config or 1x8800gts 320mb config????? which one would be best for gaming?? posted it here cus i'm wondering what you gamers think??

8800gts. SLi drivers are not great (especially in vista) and the 8800gts should outperform the 2x8600gt anyway.

8600GT SLi isn't even worth considering
One card should be cooler/quiter/cheaper?/faster/alot less hassle! So yeah the gts!
8800, no contest! Cooler than 2, possible cheaper than 2, and better at everything else!

anyways seems that the single 8800 is the way to go.
one higher end card > SLi 99% of the time, and if in doubt check the toms hardware VGA roundups
agree with all of the above - always get a higher end card than two lower end cards in SLI - all reviews and results shows SLI cards are not that of a performance gained - sorta of a like RAID 0 actually...
