    The real team fortress 2?

    check out this Mod for hl2 its called Dortess forever. aparently its just liek team fortress but played in the new source engine of course

    At a first look, yes it does look slightly childish, but after watching the trailers a few times i think its a REALLY nice style, the more you look at it, it does look very normal, i think that it is barely comparable to normal source games.

    I think that the problem with most mods such as the one you suggested, is that yes they can be very fun for a short period of time but tend to tire very quickly as they are either under-developed, or just a good concept done badly in the first place.

    I think bringing out a TFC source version is pretty bad timing with TF2 on the horizon

    As for TF2 looking childish, I think thats probably the wrong word to use. It's cartoony for sure, but I think it suits the fun style of the gameplay vids that I have seen. Childish and shooting and blowing people up dont quite seem to fit together for me I certainly dont think that the look spoils the game, if anything it sets itself apart from the standard fps styles which I think is a good thing.

    The style of TF2 is what's made me want to play it - I'm really not into CSS etc, and the more cartoony element made it look more fun
