Downloading now. Seen a few clips for the 360 version, and it looks great - hopefully the PC one will be at least as good. Lets hope that they havent over animated things at the expense of fluidity. Oh and included widescreen resolutions too! This could be the killer app for my media PC...

Re: pro evo 2008 demo out now(pc)!

i tried it yesterday and all i can say is wow...

i love the game too.i just had a go on the demo for an hour none stop and im loving it better than pes6. the transitionf rom pes5>pes6 was a step back but this is game is a HUUUGE step forward. the pace is perfect, the A.I has improved dramaticly. you actualy have to pass the balla round to score instead of using adrinao has one person mentioned!

This game is bloody amazing and with patches and mods this game will be absolutely stunning and this coming from a person who has played this game since the ISS days.

it runs fine on my agp system with a 7800gs card and a p4 3.2ghz cpu. the only thing im worries is there replays seem to drop my fps a heck of a lot and during corners or when there is a big cround of players, the fps dips to the 30's but most of the time it stays at 60.

another thing to consider is that if the game is patched with HD kits, chants, stadiums etc, this came could run a bit more slower than normal has what happened when you patched the pes6 game.

all and all a truely breath taking game that im definietly cant wait to play the full version

Re: pro evo 2008 demo out now(pc)!

Finally got it downloaded last night and took it for a quick spin - It is definitely an improvement over PES6 in my book. The animation has been improved a lot, but the fluidity of movement hasnt been compromised. The reaction of the game to your input is minimal. Did notice some dodgy ball physics at times, but maybe its just me.

Graphically, it looks great. Loving the inclusion of a WS resolution at last. I played it on my media PC and thought it looked great at 32". I don't think that the requirements will be that steep - the media rig isnt geared for gaming (X2 3600 2400XT passive) but it JUST about made it. As stated above, it gets a bit sluggish at corners (But this is prob hardware as opposed to the game) but as soon as i find a quiet single slot PCIe card, then this will be great.

Played it with a wireless Xbox360 pad, and was picked up fine - just one thing - all the buttons and controls on-screen were xbox ones. Now I was just wondering if this was because it knew I had the pad and changed the OSD accordingly, or is it basically a port of the 360 version and they couldn’t be bothered to change it – like lost planet…

Either way – this is going to be awesome.

Gameplay.co.uk (who are generally right) put it at 26th October. Just 30 days to wait! Gives me a bit of time to get a better GPU then...

Re: pro evo 2008 demo out now(pc)!

woot!! been wanting to try this

am going through a trobled period in my football career i used to be an avid fifa man all the way from fifa soccer on megadrive to 2004 then i gave up

i have pes4/5 on xbox but never really got into them so been trying fifa 07 an now pes 08 to see which will shape my future in football

    added:

tried it and am liking it on pes 5 i always dominated teams always gettign over 60% possesion and some ten minute games having 25+ shots and half of them on target but struggled to actually score this one i jumped in and won my firts game 4-1 and second one 3-1.

i feel this is very much pick up and play and easy to use.

one small issue i have is grpahics i keep getting a vertical shimmering line across the screen, has anyone else had this am using vista and 8800gts with a 360 controller which actually works even with the d pad (had huge issues on fifa 07 of it deciding the d- pad was one player and analog stick player 2)

Re: pro evo 2008 demo out now(pc)!

Tried the pc version and it says my system doesn't meet the minimum requrements.

You can ignore it but it won't let you change it, so you have to play the game in like 680 x 480 or somthing similar.
As you can see<<< my specs are more than a match, anyone got round it yet or had this prob.

    Anyone else came accross this?

And yes the screen shot is from PES 2008, not sensible soccer!

    Vista 64 bit, home premium.
But PES 6 works perfectly fine on it, they can't have gone backwards with compatibility can they?

seems like the game is not detecting your graphics card for some reason.
