    TF2 Disconnection Errors

Anyone else having problems staying connected to servers...? I've tried quite a lot of them now and I can't seem to stay connected to a single server for more than about 30 seconds!

    Re: TF2 Disconnection Errors

I'm getting the odd bad connection, the problem i have is the game hanging on 'sending client info' most annoying. Still played for way too long today.

Maybe, though I've allowed windows firewall and my bloody homehub seems to be set up correctly. Every other multiplayer game's worked okay (Quake Wars, WoW, BF2142 etc). Anyway, I'm going for a clean install of windows soon, hopefully that'll sort things out.

Do other Source games such as Counter Strike: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch work OK? If they do then the problem isn't with your firewall or port settings.

    Re: TF2 Disconnection Errors

Just tried for about 45mins to play, out of all the servers i tried only 2 got past the 'sending player data' and the two that did actually get into the game got connection errors instantly!!! ARGHHH! HL2DM and CSS (shudders) both work fine. What is going on , oh and is there another server browser that recognizes TF2 ASE dosnt and the steam browser is RUBBISH!

    Re: TF2 Disconnection Errors

Doh, I just don't get this... I've disabled both the crappy windows firewall and the crappy homehub firewall and I can't see any problems with the ports but I'm still getting dropped off most servers!

However, just to complicate things it seems to be fine on a few servers but only the very low population ones!

This sounds very similar to what I'm getting, it usually drops me before I get to pick a class but after I've picked a team.

    Re: TF2 Disconnection Errors

There are about 3 or four servers that seem 'fine' as in i can connect with no problems (they are 100% full 100% of the time though) maybe a server problem??

    Re: TF2 Disconnection Errors

I reckon it might be the beta servers now. I've been trying CSS and HL2D games and I've had no problems at all on any servers.

I can't connect from inside the game. Can connect from the servers list, but next time a map changes it hangs. Frustrating.

    Re: TF2 Disconnection Errors

What routers are you guys using?

We have found problems with some routers having connection issues. SPeedtouch routers have been proved.

The fix we came up with at Zen so far is to routed IP although I think the guys on second line are trying to sort it out.

Tell me the routers you guys have and Ill get the guys at work to check
