    Rockband $169.99 in the states

    http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6180056....stnews;title;0

Complete set for $169.99 in the US , so will we get a similar price ( the exact conversion is £84 ) or will they just replace the $ sign with a £ ?

Well, it'll be higher than the exact conversion for sure, my guess is around £120. Pretty steep, but that game does look awesome.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

I doubt many people will buy the whole set though, personally i'm going to go for the guitar version and then buy GH2/3 at the same time.

Re: Rockband $169.99 in the states

You *ALWAYS* have to factor in VAT on top of US prices - remember they are always quoted before state sales tax.

Therefore, the baseline price is £84*47/40 = £99. However, like Mblaster, I would expect to see it priced higher than that...

Deffinitely grabbing myself the full kit + extra guitar controller.

Anyone know if the guitars are compatible with GH and what all the final kit looks like?

I'd prefer wireless controllers myself, I find my PS2 controller leads are far too short and I often pull the PS2 off it's spot.

Not a bad price for what you get. If it comes out at no more than £130 I'll probably pick it up.

I believe that the PS2 and PS3 versions will be wireless, whilst the 360 version is wired with a wireless version coming out separately at a later date.

    ..damn MS hardware licensing

Anyone know if the GH guitars are compatible with Rock Band on the 360? Was thinking that I could get the GH3 pack as that has a snazzy guitar and then maybe grab another wireless guitar.

It's coming out on PS2! YES!

I hadn't seen or expected that.

The Special Edition bundle on Rockstar's site - comes with drums on stand, guitar, etc - that may win the award for "Physically Biggest Game Bundle ever" - the local parcel company is gonna love delivering that!

So £99.99 would be a pretty fair price for it, seeing as exact conversion + VAT comes in at £98.70...
