ATARI ANNOUNCES 'THE WITCHER' EUROPEAN LIMITED EDITION
LYON, FRANCE – 11 October 2007 – Atari today announced details of the European Limited Edition of highly anticipated role-playing game The Witcher scheduled for simultaneous launch with the game across Europe on October 26. Developed by CD Projekt in Warsaw, Poland, The Witcher will be available exclusively for Windows.

Released in a specially designed high quality retail box, the Limited Edition gives fans the best possible start on their journey as the white-haired witcher Geralt, a journey on which they will learn that things are never as simple as good or bad, right or wrong – there are only decisions and consequences. Based on the fictional world created by best-selling Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher is set in a unique fantasy universe where real-life issues dominate a troubled society, and the player, in the role of legendary monster slayer Geralt, must find his own path using his head and heart, as well as his formidable skill with a sword.
