I haven't read up much on this activation thing. Did uninstalling the game, before this tool came out, give back an activation license?
Cool - this will be useful for those of us who go through and do a reformat every now and then to keep things spick and span... Though god knows why they came up with some a cack method in the first place.
Don't think so. I read that uninstalling it gave back a license, so I uninstalled it - and then watched as Netmeter reported absolutely no traffic to or from my PC. So there was no communication with their server.
As such, I decided not to reinstall it until this was out so thanks OP.
And now I see on their FAQ that you can use the Revoke tool after the uninstallation, so I can get back my activation credit, that's good. But the FAQ also says that if you uninstall and then reinstall without changing any hardware, you don't have to reactivate Bioshock anyway.
A terrible implementation from start to finish but at least we can deal with it now
