    Question Dragon Age Origins Question

    Morning all!

Just wanted an answer to a random Dragon Age Origins Question:

Can you create more than one of the characters in your party? So perhaps 2 out of four were created by you (features etc.)

Thanks - Google wasn't sufficient for this...

    Re: Dragon Age Origins Question

    Nope.

But you do have a lot of control over how other characters level, what skills/spells etc. that they have, and of course the AI/tactics, as well as getting full control over them when actually playing if you want (one at a time).

    Re: Dragon Age Origins Question

Thanks - so how do you play through more than one origin story? They say that the origin story affects how people respond to you - so this depends on your customized character?

Any advice on what to start with? I get to play for the first time today! YAY

It affects a few things, and there's a little origin intro that's unique. But to play through them, you just start new games with a different character.

Mages are the most powerful, so if you want it slightly easier (and a lot of fun) go for one of them. But they're all good, and you'll probably want to play through a few times anyway - even as a mage there's a few different specialisation routes you can take.

    Re: Dragon Age Origins Question

Ok thanks - I'll just see where it goes - it's only a game after all! I always get too into making the best possible team!

Is this game like Fallout 3 in the sense that you should play it on the hardest difficulty first time to get more XP? Because on Fallout, playing on normal felt stupid as you wasted XP points...

I don't get the concept of wasted XP points - the game isn't any more fun if you have a higher xp figure.

I don't think difficulty affects XP anyway, just difficulty

I'd disagree, mages are more powerful but I found it easier to play as a fighter with the backup of one or two mages, say Morigan specced for offence and Wynne specced for healing/support. Mostly because a warrior with a bit of good armour can take a lot more punishment while still dealing a good bit of damage.
