    CoH:Opposing Fronts and AVG

AVG is currently scanning my system and has listed the following as a virus:

    C:\Games\THQ\Company of Heroes\rs\rs.dll

    Virus identified Obfustat.TXF

Anything to worry about or is this similar to the problems people had with Bioshock and Securom?

    Re: CoH:Opposing Fronts and AVG

AVG seems to give a lot of false positives. If that file isn't huge, you could check it by uploading it to here:

    http://virusscan.jotti.org/

Then you can see for sure. If its only flagged as a virus by AVG then ignore it. If its flagged by all or most of them, then you might wanna worry. Although, if you bought this rather than getting it illegally somehow, then its very unlikely it would have a virus on the original DVD.

    Re: CoH:Opposing Fronts and AVG

Cheers guys. AVG automatically deleted the file (or stuck it in the vault), so I'll need to sort it out, no hurry tho as the game is still working fine. May just ditch AVG as I have the free version of Avira which didn't flag the file in question, and seems to be better at picking things up.

    Re: CoH:Opposing Fronts and AVG

Seems the simple solution is to ditch AVG. I have the free version of Avira which is meant to be better anyway, so I doubt it'd be much of a loss.
