    Another old game question

Does anyone remember a game called Eagles Wing that was released for the BBC 'B'.

It was a 2D top down view of you flying a fighter bomber down a canyon in an attempt to get to the Enemy Base, so you could destroy it.

The blane had a variety of weapons including air to ground missiles, guns and air to air missiles, plus of course bombs.

There were loads of enemies including tanks, planes, boats and men.

I've tried for years to find it, and an emulator for it with no avail.....

    I'm on it now.

I'm really good with emulation and where to get the stuff legally. Not overly sure on a BBC emulator but if theres one available I will find it !!!

    BBC B Emulator Link :

    http://www.mikebuk.dsl.pipex.com/beebem/index.html

This is apparently needed to get the emulator running ? Link :

    http://www.rubybay.com/users/drbeeb/roms.html

    Games Links :

http://www.users.waitrose.com/~sharx/beeb.htm (6 files with loads of disk images on them, not sure whats on them though !)

http://www.planetemu.net (Site appears to be down atm so not overly sure if they cover the BBC, worth having a look though)

Don't forget that some of the games still have the copyright on them still to this day so you must own the origional if you are going to download them. Same goes for any rom images from the computer itself.

I'll download the emulator and other bits and pieces for it later on this afternoon and see if I can actually find the game in question.

Once I get the emulator up and running with working settings I will post up an ease of use guide on the settings and loading images and stuff like that.

Like I said, I enjoy emulation. I have WinUAE running perfect for the Amiga games, Vice for the C64 and also one for the Megadrive and SuperNES all working perfect and in high res. Took me a while to do it but pulled it off nicely.

With WinUAE I have Kickstart 1.3 for the majority of the games and actually have managed to get the AGA games on the 3.1 Kickstart running perfect.

Cheers Gents, I'll have a crack with the links once I get a spare moment.

I do warn you though, the game was a bit addictive and once you got good at it, each go could last over an hour. As it had no pause or save function it could tax the old bladder now we're a bit older!!
