Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 can't use 1280x1024

Hi,

I have Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 and when I enable the high settings it only allows me to play at 1280x720 not 1280 x 1024.

I have:
Q6600
8800gts 320
2 gig ram
XP sp2

Any ideas ..tried window mode.

what montor do u have, if it is widescreen then u probably wont have the option, also what aspect ratio are you using??

thats the native resolution of my monitor 1280 1024.
Aspect ratio 4:3

It will let me do it at med settings but not high?

So at present I have it at 1280 1024 med settings forced AA AF and everything else through the control panel...and that looks OK. Strange I can force all this a med level but can't turn it up to high without going 1280 720.
None of the forced stuff is on when I try to go to the high level.

Often you can force resolutions by editing the config files for the gmae. Don't have the game, so can't help you with specifics but the files are usually *.cfg or *.ini and can be edited in notepad.

But I had looked for those most of it seems to be in .img files.

I think I read I needed a program called orca ..but I was looking for a quicker/easier way.

Thanks but those are the widescreen res fixes.

I just want 4:3 1280 x 1024 at high.

I don't know whats going on as the hardware is up to spec.

You might want to give Kitserver a whirl. I could only run on low settings without it despite my spec...

Konami quality control must really suck.

I tried the kitserver and it installed and detected everything but it made no changes.. tried loads of settings in the config file but nadda.

Konami release a patch already ..pls.

The crysis demo is running at 25fps everything high ..but not this...aarg.

Really annoys me that comapnies are still releasing games without 1280x1024 as a standard option.
