    Far cry demo

Wow the demo is amazing, a good DL. The engine is amazing, you could just shoot the dead bodies for ages, funny seeing how they move

. Don't know any links but there is a torrent of it floating about.

yeh, they seemed to make a mistake and put it on the dutch ftp site, and then people downloaded it, and then ubi realised they had made a mistake and so took it down, still, just had a quick play and it doesnt run to well in 'medium' detail on my computer (2.2ghz xp/geforce4ti/512mb ram), so looks like i'll be upgrading some time soon

Getting it via Torrent atm. Theres a Torrent link at Guru3D for it. I found the mirrors at Gamershell to be a bit slow not forgetting that most of them are maxxed out !

Just played through it, game is looking really gd, i have a 9800pro and it fps on medium is quite stuttery so i dont expect anyone can play it smoothly. Its only a demo though so its bound to be like that, oh you can shoot through wood!!! some guys run into a hut for cover, u start ripping into it with the boat mounted machine gun and they will go down

    I really enjoyed the demo.

Make sure AA is turned off, read there can be problems when its enabled.

Graphics are very nice indeed, phyics also impressive aswell.

Gameplay was much to my liking, so many different ways to attack

Few AI glitchs, aiming is alittle strange of time and looks daft when knifing someone !

Carnt wait to try the online ! jeeps, choppers...

yeh i have all the settings to medium with AA on medium, 1024 res. it runs ok'ish, as soon as i turn anything up to high i get a vpu recover, and have to restart not only the game but the whole computer. hopefully its just a demo thing and the game will be more suited to mid spec machines when its realised. Its pretty good though. Quite difficult, good physics and graphics.
