According to a post on Relic News, the trademark for the space based RTS game series Homeworld has now been transfered from Vivendi Games to THQ. The original Homeworld was the first game from developer Relic and won tons of Game of the Year awards when it was first released in 1999. A stand alone expansion, Homeworld Catalysm, was developed by Barking Dog Studios and released in 2000 (Barking Dog was later bought by Rockstar and renamed Rockstar Vancouver). In 2003, Relic came back to release Homeworld 2 for Vivendi but the sequel did not get the same high review scores as the original did. In 2004, THQ bought Relic and the team developed, among other games, the successful Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War and Company of Heroes RTS games. The transfer of the Homeworld trademark from Vivendi to THQ would strongly hint that Relic might be working on a third game in the Homeworld series
