OK guys, so I have been lucky enough to have been offered a scholarship to study in Brisbane, Australia & all being well with visas me & the missus will be moving out there march '08 for the following 3-4yrs .
Obviously I won't be able to get by without my toys, so I am thinking of the options concerning shipping my consoles (360,PS3,Wii).
If I understand correctly the UK and Oz share the same region so games bought there or vica-versa shouldn't be a problem. Also, as I'm shipping other stuff the cost of shipping them shouldn't be a great deal.
On the other hand does anyone know if any warranties will be international - this is probably most important for the 360, for which I have extended my warranty for 3 years, being on my 3rd unit now .
If this won't transfer out there I might be best selling the unit here and just shipping games / peripherals & buying a new one out there, if I do this does anyone know if the warranty will transfer to the new owner?
In terms of the PS3 - I have a 60Gb model which TBH I never play on, although I might get Uncharted given the comments here, perhaps I could sell that here and buy a 40gb out there for MGS4, GT5, FF & LBP.
Ideally I don't want this to cost me a a lot as the move/visas/medicals/initial fees are really stacking up & I'm going back to being a stinkin student again(albeit a funded one).
Any thoughts/opinions/advice on this matter would be much appreciated. Oh and yes I know I'm going to Oz so I should enjoy that rather than worrying about gaming - don't worry I will, but there will always be time for games, plus xbox live is seems like a pretty cheap way to maintain abuse between friends worldwide
