Can you trade in PC games?

I know you can take console games to places like Game or Gamestation and trade them in for store credit, can the same be done with PC games?

I've got an old Xbox (with a few joypads, remote and some games), a few old PC games and a couple of Xbox 360 games. Wanting to get rid of them all and I'm thinking trading them all in is probably my best bet.

Yes, but you will get pittance. Hexus classified is the best bet, followed by fleabay.

Re: Can you trade in PC games?

You cant trade PC games in at Game, I know that much, and probably not at gamestation. Theyre just too easy to copy etc so they dont do preowned PC games.

As stated above you wont get that much for trading stuff in anyway - its less bother than selling them but you dont get as much money. Most will get a couple of quid, but some really old games will only get 1p.

Whilst that is true, Gamestation sell pre-owned PC games, so I presume they buy them as well.

Re: Can you trade in PC games?

Computer Exchange. Check if there is a store near you at CeX.co.uk - you can even check stock levels of a particular game you may want to buy. You have been warned though - the shops seems to always be particularly smelly

You can check online to see what you can get in cash for selling them to cex, or you can get a bit more back for an exchange voucher - which lasts a year I think. Thats what I did with some old Wii and GC games, and going to use the voucher towards a second hand copy when some of the newer ones turn up.

    My local gamestation still does.
If Parm is selling COD, I'll have to have a quiet cry.

Re: Can you trade in PC games?

I used to use CEX quite a bit to sell my used PC games. I tend to put them on ebay instead, as that normally gets me a better price lately.

Re: Can you trade in PC games?

eBay is a good bet, but don't forget you'll have to pay auction fees (some upfront, and then commission on the final price). But don't forget that whatever price you're being offered on a trade-in is going to be less than the games are worth as the shop will be wanting to make some profit on top.

Personally I'd stick with eBay. At the very least you can use eBay's Completed Listings option in the search box to see what the game might be selling for, so that you don't get fleeced in the shop.

Re: Can you trade in PC games?

Yea, I'd have to say Ebay or Play Sell - cause i went game station yday, had about 10 games with me (including last CNC, a few popular games) and they offered me something silly like £8.47 pence.
