NVIDIA customers can also download Peggle Extreme, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, and Half-Life 2: The Lost Coast for free through the same offer.
other websites say "first slice" is a special version of the portal demo, more like an extended demo offering more levels than the ordinary demo

How many levels does the real Portal have?
As I was playing through this is says x/19, x being the level I am on. It stops at 9.
Does the real game only have 10 more sections? Each taking about 9 seconds of brainpower to figure out?
If so, thats really put me off buying it. I have to be missing something, surely?

Re: Portal: first slice free for nvidia users

for me portal was relatively easy until the last level which as far as levels go was very good but still rather easy just took alot longer than previous levels. For what it was (a part of a bigger pack) it was good.

Strange, as Portal (and The Orange Box) was developed and sponsored by ATI.

Steam know how to get their fingers in every pie and keep everyone happy.

I believe it is about 19 or 20 levels long if memory serves me correctly. The last few levels are a step up in terms of thinking and are longer levels...again iirc.
