Its'a sooo close to call. Even tho my CoD4 instal seems to be broken at the mo, it's just more fun in MP.

CoD4 is excellent - not tried the MP though. Never played CoD2 properly but cant imagin it being able 2 match its big brother.

Re: Call of Duty 2 vs Call of Duty 4

I played cod1 loads, and then of course got cod2 when it came out. Great single player but the multiplayer was very dissapointing for those that had cod1 teams. I think it was blamed on the fact that they had also made an xbox version which not only gave the game a more consolely feel to it, but the pc version seemed to have a serious lack of support, especially the fact that there was no anti cheat for ages. Essentially the clan I was in gave up waiting and moved on to other stuff, but once they sorted that out and PAM etc it looked as though it got a decent following.

CoD 4 seems a lot better in that respect, and personally I much prefer the gameplay, setting and weapons. There's hundreds of clans signed up already for places like Enemydown and plenty of people that seem to be moving over from other games.

CoD 4 runs away with it for me

Re: Call of Duty 2 vs Call of Duty 4

I played the cod4 demo and thought it was ok, but didnt really like it. Am I missing out on a great game here cos of a shoddy demo? Is the full game and mp heaps better? It the bit where you have to defend an area with a friendly tank or somesuch in it and seemingly endless enemies are coming in from all sides I died a couple of times there, didnt know wtf was happening couldn't see where they were coming from or why my pals were rubbish and just kept falling over and at that point I thought f*** this game I'm not paying for that!

Ciber I hated the COD4 demo ...really, really disliked it but for Christmas someone got me the full game.

The game is fantastic so much better than the demo and the multiplayer is one of the best I've played....I like UT3 slightly better but I'm sure lots of ppl will disagree

Re: Call of Duty 2 vs Call of Duty 4

COD4 is crying out for some mods and bigger maps, I currently find air strikes and gunships to be an annoying distraction, rather than something that improves gameplay

Re: Call of Duty 2 vs Call of Duty 4

I played the COD4 demo recently and like others I was disapointed - it was too intense (maybe I'm getting too old), but what really annoyed me was your superior who kept barking orders incessantly at you. I also thought the modern day weaponry just didn't feel or sound as solid as the good'ol WW2 stuff. But if other people have found that the full game is much better maybe I'll give it a go sometime - just need to upgrade my pc (played the demo on a work laptop) when I have some spare cash.

Re: Call of Duty 2 vs Call of Duty 4

COD4 took me about 5 mins to complete. The missions were good but the length of game is nowhere near that of COD2. Not played it multiplayer yet.
