    Strange issues with Crysis

    I have a Q6600 stock speeds and a BFG 512mb 8800GT OC2

I run crysis at 1680 x 1050 with High settings and i get bad mouse responce in certain areas of the game. The FPS are pretty stable at between 25fps and 50fps but this mouse lag is just no good.

I have vsync off and also smooth mouse off but it makes no difference its as if the game stutters for a second then catches up.

i was running at 1600x1200 with high/v high settings and getting similar performance so you're in the ball park there. Could it be a background program taking system resources intermittently?

    shouldn't matter on a multi-core chip

You probably need to turn down the motion blur. If you don't know what I mean, update to 1.1 and you'll see a slider in the advance panel.

Does it happen at lower resolutions?
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...

    Re: Strange issues with Crysis

I tried another mouse and its the same.

Its really odd, I get smooth game play apart from the mouse movement, if I walk its ok, if I move the mouse 360 its fine but if I move and look around it lags and jumps around.

seems to be happening with all the newer games. When trying ut3 out I had this happen many times. It's like you move the mouse and it takes a recording. Then seconds later it follows that pattern. Absolutely hated it. I unticked mouse smoothing and lowered my sensitivity and it fixed it sort of. Not on crysis though but maybe it will help.
