Surely Speedball 3 or 4 by now, as Speedball 2 was released 18 years ago?

Re: Gonna wet myself: Speedball 2 demo out

Play fine at 2560*1600, pretty efficient engine.
The demo is really easy though, can almost play it blind folded.....maybe better as an online/2 player game.

I'm wetting myself over Jumpgate... if it's like Freelancer but an MMO I'm going to obviously have to do a LOT of playtesting for the review... maybe two or three months solid...

Re: Gonna wet myself: Speedball 2 demo out

Got a free copy of Speedball 2 Tournament, from the developers, for Steam when it was released over the holidays. Can't say it has any of the spark the series once had
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

I liked the old version, and actually prefer this one. Will probably purchase it at some point, then run it on mates HD projector

Ooh thanks for reminding me - I'd put Jumpgate out of my mind for a while and forgotten to sign up for the beta (which I just did)

Fingers crossed - Freelancer style MMO definitely has me interested.

This Jumpgate thingy, which I agree sounds rather smashing... Isn't it out already?
    Jumpgate(TM) . . . welcome to your next life . . . There's nothing you can't do

Ah, Sorry, just realised you're on about Jumpgate Evolution!

Re: Gonna wet myself: Speedball 2 demo out

This is the first i've ever heard of this. I've heard of (and own somewhere) Freespace 2 and Homeworld 2, and this looks like it has some elements of each maybe.
Low minimum specs too (CPU = 800Mhz, graphics = 32MB) which is no bad thing necessarily.
    Could be interesting.

Re: Gonna wet myself: Speedball 2 demo out

Not sure why it was done like this (two seperate releases), but it has been available on Steam since November : Steam - Speedball 2 — Tournament

However it was about half that price with preorder on Play when I looked back then, so thought i would wait.
