    Sins of a Solar Empire

Anyone else playing? It is epic! Games of this will take some time.

Somewhere in between an RTS and civ and much more at the pace I can handle.

Awesome game, probably one of the best RTSes ever. Just did a comp stomp LAN with my housemate then ended it with a massive fight between us around the star, great fun.

Re: Sins of a Solar Empire

I have been a huge fan of homeworld, waiting for homeworld 3 anyways...are there any similarities between the two? is SINS better than HW? Ive read there is no single player campaign, plus, how are the graphics?

Re: Sins of a Solar Empire

There is no single player campaign at present, just a sandbox mode. However there are tutorials and they plan a campaign to be included in a patch.

Re: Sins of a Solar Empire

Terrible? What's wrong with it? The Stardock service is brilliant, much better than steam.

Been playing a few games over LAN and it's great fun, one of the best strategy games I've played IMO, it's like SupCom in space, but unlike supcom it's actually good (for some reason I could never get on with the game, same with TA).

What bits of it are like SupCom? I'm actually interested if there are some similarities - SupCom has almost single handedly killed off my desire for other RTS games.

It's got SupComs scale, but bigger, you can zoom in on an individual 2 man fighter or zoom right out smoothly to see the whole star system. The combat however is quite slow to begin with but once fleets get bigger the combat is much better.

Re: Sins of a Solar Empire

Cheers for pointing out this game, otherwise it would have totally slipped under my rader. Can't wait for payday to arrive so I can get downloading as it looks excellent.
