It is a belief of mine and a friend that all games regardless of what genre it except RTS should cotain a co-op mode for multiplayer as standard. Halo for example, would have undoubtedly been a PC classic if only it had a co-op mode of the single player game.
Although Call Of Duty was a fantastic game which was in a somewhat misleading way team oriented hence their slogan "No-one fights alone" they've cotradicted themselves by not including a co-op mode of the single-player game this was probably the only gripe i had with COD as was simply a thoroughly good game.
But back to Halo, any true PC gamer should know that Halo began its early days being developed for the PC, and possibly may have been released with the co-op mode intact. and so speaking as a pc gamer I feel so betrayed, considering the XBOX version has a co-op mode but the PC one doesn't.
Just imagine the part in Halo where you have to steal a banshee but the FLUDD run from behind some rocks and act as a distraction so you can take out the two alien (covenant) tanks with your rocket launcher. Imagine this bit but with company of your friends.
This fortunately is only one of many co-op friendly set-pieces in Halo.
I don't consider Halo a PC classic but had it had a co-op mode of the story mode "out-of-the-box" then in my opinion this would easily be a PC classic.
Although i hear (and had it strongly hinted to me) that Gearbox are including co-op mode in later patch its not good enough...
who agrees that co-op modes (of the single-player mode like Halo's) should be included with the games as standard.
HALO + CO-OP STORY MODE + LAN = OWNAGE CLASSIC WORTHY GAME

. The thought of halo co-op does make me quite moist, but it could be a while before anyone tries it on pc.
