F.E.A.R. - Anyone else play this?

What a game!, im suprised more dont play it.

It makes CS:S look very average and the game play is exceptional.

The BEST part about it is that its free.

This is FEAR Combat, the free multiplayer component. Played it a bit ages ago but STALKER, Bioshock, Crysis etc took over my time.

Re: F.E.A.R. - Anyone else play this?

    I enjoyed playing F.E.A.R.

The action/tasks are repetitive, I grant that but the game atmosphere is terrific. I went onto play Farcry and couldn't get into it after playing F.E.A.R.

I was expecting more "paranormal" activities/creatures...I hope the expansion packs brings more paranormal enemies rather than the continual "super soldier".

Re: F.E.A.R. - Anyone else play this?

I really enjoyed FEAR, found the pace to be really good on it. I personally preferred it to Half Life 2 as I thought that was really drawn out towards the end unlike FEAR where it was all go constantly.

Also had a few great shocks and it runs really well even on mid range systems

Re: F.E.A.R. - Anyone else play this?

I enjoyed FEAR back when it first came out. Then I played some of Extraction Point which was dreary "I'm alive and don't know why" hmm, crowbaring a protagonist in there then!! Then Perseus Mandate arrived being a backwards step from the first game in the quality of everything.

Typically Monolith weren't involved in the expansions and that's why they were bad.
    Roll on Project Origin.

Never played FEAR online though. But CS:S was a first rate shooter. Played it since the very early beta days and for years afterwards. Haven't been back in, like, 3 years.

    I meant the Multiplayer really.

I found the single player a bit boring.

I enyoyed the multiplayer part quite a bit for a while. It's free as well (download fear combat, don;t know if you still can).

Played it for a while. I think the main reason why not many people play is that there's so much good choice out there when it comes to team based shooters.

Re: F.E.A.R. - Anyone else play this?

Used to play it a lot on the FireInStyle servers but then studies + Team Fortress 2 came so I sort of stopped playing it.

Its good fun and nothing was more enjoyable then chucking a grenade between a group of enemies and watching them blow up!

I played Fear when it came out, the single player was interesting IMO, I finished it ASAP, then went off to other games, I tried playing it a few weeks back, looked dated and not so impressive anymore....left it...but yes, in its time, it was one of the best FPS
