New free Trackmania game, "Trackmania Forever"

Another one for all the Trackmania heads who liked the original Trackmania Nations (also free).

A new version is incoming, Trackmania Nations Forever (trailer below):

    TrackMania Nations Forever

    Due for release 16th April.

Set in a completely new environment. Looks like the track sections are similar to the former Trackmania Nations, but looks like there are some new track sections too, and a dust track as well!

Not this version, it's free! Just like Trackmania Nations was/is.

I think this is just the Stadium type from Track Mania United (an enhanced version of the Track Mania Nations track type).

I think they were released something similar to this order:

    Trackmania [Original]
    Trackmania Sunrise
    Trackmania Sunrise eXtreme
    Trackmania Nations (Free)
Trackmania United (All trackmania games in one)
Trackmania Nations Forever (Updated version of TM Nations, Free)
Trackmania United Forever (Updated version of TM United)

I see what you mean about the StarForce thing, Craig, reading elsewhere it was said it was installed with the free TrackMania Nations. Can't say I've noticed anything when using it though, although admittedly I don't know what effects to look for.

The only things you are missing there is the Trackmania Power Pack. All of the updated versions were content patches to the original games, although they were often released separately as well for people who didn't own the original.

Re: New free Trackmania game, "Trackmania Forever"

Bought a new graphics card a few days ago, a 512MB 8800GT, with my new system build, and TMN is almost like a new game. Highest detailed settings and anti-aliasing run smooth as silk. A far cry away from my previous graphics card (a very lowly/humble 128MB Ati x300).

Can't wait for TMN Forever to be released tomorrow now.

I've definately noticed that on my computer TM United looks completely different from on my friends computer, his just looks so much nicer than mine.

There are a few things that effect the niceness of the game.

Screen, graphic card, and mainly settings.

Back when my brother had an old 19" Advent every single game, even on the same settings looked a lot nicer on my Samsung 19".
