3 incidents more than 0 is infinity times more, not 3 times more (3 times zero is zero)
I have to agree... all i noticed was someone shouting about which one they own...
At present i own a PS3 and a wii,
I've owned the PS3 since launch... and what a mistake!
payed £425 just for the console and then bought some games, of which there was a choice of about 6.... (which although growing, is nowhere near the size of the 360's catalogue)... only to be met with pricedrops not too long afterwards including some of said games...
Yeah, Nice1!
If i had my choice again now, i know what i'd go for, after playing on knoxeh's x360.... and thats what it would be!
the wii, is in a whole different league completely to the ps3 and x360... so that doesnt come into it, but between ps3 and x360... NOW, it would have to be x360...
the online system is FAR superior...
The Ingame system of music and control of other things console based is far superior...
and the games catalogue pee's all over the PS3...
Other little things annoy the crap out of me too!
i have GH3 on PS3, and PSN UK gets screwed out of almost all free DLC packs, whereas elsewhere in the world gets them (but they dont work even if you download them for the UK game) and X360 gets them no problem.
Dont get me wrong, i love my PS3, the games i have on it are wicked (well, nearly all of them) and it does the jobs i wanted, BD played, games console, and the pad is the classic ps style which i have grown to love!
but for me x360 takes it now... although the PS3 will in my opinion be the one to go for in a years time, or even 6 months if the Dev team sort thier stuff out!
so I'd say go x360 now, and maybe add a ps3 in the future...
Personally, i just ordered an X360 + GTA4 for £200... bargain (play.com)
now i have all 3 systems (inc. the better 60gb version of the PS3)...

That's what you think he said? Damn, if only there were some way to check what he said. But I guess we're doomed to just imagine or try and remember. Or SCROLL UP THE PAGE.
Three times one is three. Three times zero is zero. Either his PS3 died once or his 360 died zero times, is what he said.
Interestingly, given he had his 360 twice as long - well, for ease of maths, let's say he had his 360 for two years and his PS3 for one. His 360 died once every eight months and his PS3 died once every twelve months. Eeeenteresting!!!

Hmmm, he said "three times as many", implying his PS3 has broken down once. If he'd said "three times more" that could in theory mean it's happened three times (occasions) more, rather than 3X more.I dont think Barrichello's Ps3 died, his 360 has died 3 times, which is 3 times more than his ps3...is what i think he said/ment
Anyway, which console is better is a fairly impossible thing to prove with these machines, as each will have different merits to different people. It all depends on what YOU want it to do, and how you want it to do it. All we can offer is suggestion about the merits of each, but we can't tell ya which one is better.
I prefer the Wii to both of them, and it doesn't stream media, play HD movies or anything else, so wouldn't score many points in these type of debates. But to me 'next-gen' doesn't mean 'better graphics', so IMO it's the only next-gen console out there.
*drat, far too slow with the 3 times business *

I'm quitting while i'm 3x behind...i'm sure baz will clear things up.
I read it as his 360 has brokened 3 times, and his PS3 hasn't brokened at all.
Regardless, the PS3 dies randomly every now and again, as all electronic things can suddenly give up the ghost, but the 360 is likely to die, because it doesn't work properly. Something as likely to melt as the 360 should never have made it to the stores.
Like I say, mine is broken - if I lie it down flat, it RRODs, stand it up and it goes away, so its crocked. That was months ago though, and I've not had so much as a freeze since then, so less hassle to stand it vertical than send it back to the chimps at Microsoft.
And it started this after 3 days from brand spanking new, and this Elite was supposed to have slightly different do-hickeys inside it, which are less likely to melt. Something is very wrong with the insides of the average 360.
Odd, my version 1 Xbox 360 is still chuntering along quite happily... but it's always been horizontal.
OOh, just thought of a negative PS3 comment - it attracts dust better than one of those static dust attractorz things... just lift the flap after a month or so, you'll see.
And in the spirit of being unbiased, the word Xbox shows up as a spelling error in FireFox.... and its pretty noisy when spinning a disk up.
Yeah, me too. Think we're the only ones ?
And what's worse, is that if you attempt to dust it with anything other than something like a microfibre cloth, you'll scratch the thing. Compressed air works well for cleaning it. OCD... me ? Noooo.OOh, just thought of a negative PS3 comment - it attracts dust better than one of those static dust attractorz things... just lift the flap after a month or so, you'll see.

I thank you.
I've owned the PS3 since launch... and what a mistake!... the PS3 dies randomly every now and again ...lol... send it back to the chimps at Microsoft
... Something is very wrong with the insides of the average 360.... friends had similar problems with their 360 ...
Well, well, well ... having read your comments, I'm happy I went with a Monster PC instead of a games console.
But then again, same intention - different problems ---> Call of Duty 4 - error message
My Xbox has been on it's side it's launch - no RROD, so that's good.
If I was buying a console right now though, it would be a PS3 - the BR drive would do it.
This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I
googled all over her facebook. Ask Jeeves...

I get the feeling that AJ had made his mind up before this thread was even started!
I recommend owning all 3, 360 for games and as a windiz media extender, PS3 for blu ray and final fantasy and wii for mariokarts, pro evo and sports.
Not around too often!
I have all three and have to say that until last Christmas, the playing time across all three was roughly 50% Xbox 360, 40% Wii and 10% PS3...
That's pretty much evened up now so all three get equal use...
But if I had to have just one, it'd be a tough decisions between them... the Xbox 360 and PS3 can both do the media thing, though the Xbox 360 nicely integrates with Vista... but the Wii is a great family console... and the PS3 does the BD stuff... Gah!
Mind you, none of those arguements work with the wife. I just have to buy her shoes.
Not around too often!
