Not to the same extent as a PC, and for the same cost. External disks are always more expensive, and theres a limit to how many you can add. PC users can just buy a 1tb SATA disk for about 130 quid or so, and stick it in their PC and that's that. I could probably have about 6 of them if I wanted. It's not the same with a console. PC is by far the best choice if you want to store a lot of stuff.
Until you tried to argue that the PS3 having a smaller games library and a less developed online service is a good thing, that was a decent post.
Blu-Ray, no RROD, MGS4. Thats the reasons to get a PS3 over a 360.
Lets not get deep, trying to argue that even the bad things are really good things, you just have to look at it in a certain way. Is this Gtech posting on a different account?
I think that rather than posting good PS3 things, he was just stating the factors in his decision - two plus points for the PS3, and two minus points but reasons why they didn't affect him.

Yeah. I think they've all got pros and cons to the point that nothing is perfect for everyone. One person may want an uber PS3, one person may want a 199 quid Xbox360 with GTA4 included.. one person may want a PC to play Age of Conan or whatever. Everything has its pros and cons, it's just nice that there is some choice finally. I wonder what will need to happen for it to effect the prices of graphics cards... Because as much as I love these fancy new nVidia uber graphics cards, this £400 odd price tag could really do with changing

We are not talking about storing a lot of stuff, we are talking about playing games.
Except that you can get an XSATA device for the 360 for around £30 which sits between the 360's HDD and the console and allows you to transfer save games (and downloads) over USB to the PC and back effectively giving you as much storage as you want, which makes storage less of an issue.

True, but at that point you are using an xbox and a PC Which isn't really what I was getting at.
ahh, but the PC doesn't have to be a Crysis spec'd PC.

dont forget that the 360's build quality is shocking
Yeah - the smaller games library being a good thing wasn't really meant to be taken too seriously. Less choice can be a good thing sometimes (let's not get into a debate about whether the increase of choice in the last 20 years has resulted in real improvements in quality of life or just higher consumption rates and lower levels of satisfaction - that one can last all night! - and result in everyone taking part dying of boredom ), but I do wish I had a few more games to select. That said, I still haven't got around to removing the wrapper from Uncharted, so I can't really complain..
