Just grab the drivers from microsoft and plug it it.
Tis a standard USB plug so no converter needed.
If you're on vista you don't even need to grab the drivers, it's just plug and play.
however, i do recommend the xbcd drivers if you can get along with them & set them up properly... i never got along with them.
the xbox360 controller has a horrible deadzone which can't be adjusted with the default drivers - if you so much as touch the analogue stick it will move the car/character (depending on how sensitive the game is).
some games do have deadzone adjustment, but not all unfortunately.
using the xbcd drivers will give the option to adjust the deadzone.

As previous posters said, its plug and play but xp will ask you to install drivers(like normal) but this is automatic etc, works fine for me. Any1 know what program is good for mapping controls for games? i have crysis and a load of others but very few support it.
I came across an ace bit of software when researching for my media PC, called xpadder. Its a tiny bit of software, but you can basically map any key (or combinations I believe) to anything on the gamepad.
So basically you are gettting certain things on the pad to emulate the keyboard (and even the mouse if you want to!)
Best of all its small, and free!!!

Hope that helps
