Out the 29th, looks good. Preordered it from play myself. got a couple of nice characters to carry forward from ME1.
Anyone else looking forward to this?

I really enjoyed the first one and no doubt this will be a top notch game, however i won't be buying on day one atleast. There is free day one DLC as well BTW ! I'm looking more into getting Darksiders over this and hopefully ME2 will push Darksiders down in price at some places

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Nice, I didn't know about that. Just looked it up and its an extra character and planet. I've just ordered the normal version but I get some preorder DLC in the form of the terminus armour. I also have the blood dragon armour for dragon age so I can use that in ME2

Although getting that badass green guy in your squad may sway me into purchasing xD

I am getting the Collector's Edition, I have the first game and the artbook so the cost of the same for ME2 is the same as the CE. Just finished the books, which are good for franchise books, but going back to an Asimov novel you notice how merely good not great they are.
I'm going to hold off buying this, as otherwise I will probably fail my exams.
Thats probably a good idea... with ME1 its all too easy to fall into the: "oh just one more mission" trap and before you it you've been playing the game for most of the day. I expect it will be much the same for ME2.
I'm most looking forward to the new and improved biotics powers.

Any idea if ME2 will be tougher on the hardware than ME1? I would imagine so, but the 360 hasn't changed any.
Also any feedback based on my setup would be helpful to me.

From the requirements that I've seen it needs very little extra power.
PC MINIMUM System Requirements
OS = Windows XP SP3 / Windows Vista SP1 / Windows 7
Processor = 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent AMD CPU
Memory = 1 GB RAM for Windows XP / 2 GB RAM for Windows Vista and Windows 7
Hard Drive = 15 GB
DVD ROM = 1x Speed
Sound Card = DirectX 9.0c compatible
Direct X = DirectX 9.0c August 2008 (included)
Input = Keyboard / Mouse
Video Card = 256 MB (with Pixel Shader 3.0
I've just ordered this from game for the PC.
I had a quick look around and you don't seem to gain very much for continuing an old game so might as well not pay the 360 tax £10 cheaper on the PC.

Yeah the requirements aren't vastly different from the first one. the unreal engine scales quite well.

I was thinking the same thing, the UE3 is quite palatable in what is requires and what it can offer - going off the videos it seems they've over-hauled the graphics quite a bit within the same spec boundry.

Thanks for the advice guys.
Mass Effect 1 got me back into playing on the PC. I played it through first on my mates 360 and then again on my own machine. Aside from sitting back and seeing it on the big screen, I much prefered playing it with keyboard and mouse.
I got UT3 (in the Unreal pack) in the Xmas Steam sale and KOTR 1. UT3 runs just fine.
I switched my Preorder over to the 360 version.
I tried to read up on the choices it would pull from ME1 without any plot spoilers (rather hard to say the least) and there is only a handful of main events that are carried over from 1 to 2 but one of the dev's said a lot of the choices are in the background are still carried over and will be in ME3.
