    Guild Wars Key

Hi there! After setting up a small home network between mine and my girlfriends pc, we now want to play Guild Wars together over the internet. Problem is we both can't log in with my username/password...

Before we go and purchase ANOTHER copy of Guild Wars, does anyone has an old account they know longer want and are willing to donate?

If not can I buy an Access Key from NCSoft?

Well of course, it is one simultanious user per license, like most games.

You can buy an access key from NCSoft - it's exactly the same as buying the game as that's all the game is - a key. You might get some preloadable data with it and a manual but they're irrelevant really

It might be cheaper to just get another hard copy from a store though - I got the nighfall collectors edition for under a tenner.

it's cheaper in meatspace, IME - a tenner or fifteen quid is the norm for the prophecies campaign

Amazon - think it's gone up in price now, but you can get the normal version cheaply from gameplay.co.uk or other online retailers.

There is only one expansion - Eye of the North. The others (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall) are stand-alone games.

Eye of the North comes with an Eye of the North key, but still requires one of the stand-alone games. Each of the stand-alone games comes with its own key that gives you access to the shared PVP area and the specific campaign associated with that game.

    Re: Guild Wars Key

SO, with the EOTN access key, and an install of Guild Wars (client), will this allow 2 users to play (one using original GW key and one using EOTN key)? Or does EOTN require a GW key too?

    ....if that makes sense

there are three guild wars games, and one expansion pack. the expansion pack can be used to expand any of the three main games. any number of the main games (and the expansion) can be combined into the same ncsoft account

an account with only prophecies and one with only factions CANNOT PLAY THE SAME AREAS.

No it won't let 2 users play. All it'll mean is that one person can play Prophecies (if that's what you had already) and EotN, and the other person can't play anything.

Each person who wants to play needs to own one of the stand-alone games. Then that person can play the stand-alone campaign, and the shared PvP side of things. If you both bought different stand-alone games then you could only play together for the PvP aspect of the game.

  10. Received thanks from:
