    Question Overdoing it......

Over the years I've heard various humourous stories related to spending too much time playing games and was wondering if anyone else had some amusing tales to recount?

After playing too much Frontier Elite on the Amiga I answered one of the economics questions on my General Studies paper, using a supply and demand model based on the game dynamics. I got an A, so even though it was completely made up it must have sounded good.

My brother on the other hand played Diablo so much that when he dreamed, the game music played in the background.

But the award for REALLY overdoing it has to go to one of friends, who played Counterstrike so much practicing for tournaments that he developed "Paranoid Aggraphobia". He had to have hypnotherapy to allow him to be able to walk across open spaces (snipers) or sit with his back to doors etc.

That is the funniest post I've read in a long long time. Good work

I remember playing Doom a LOT when I was at university, and I did have a problem walking round a building corner. I'd have to stop and then sort of jump round it a bit

I also played "syndication" a lot on the Amiga, and remember sitting on a bus watching people in a highstreet, and really wanting to launch a rocket grenade attack on the pikeys outside McDonalds

Don't we all do that anyway?

Don't think i've ever been affected that badly by a game. I got quite addicted to SOF2, but luckily i am able to differentiate between real life and computer gaming so it didnt trouble me

Ho man yeah. I remember driving up Islington highstreet after a heavy GTA3 session, and almost ramming a bus coming in the other direction

I remember hearing the Grenade sound from Quake 2 for quite some hours after a Lan session once. That was kind of freaky, solved by getting some sleep

    Smile Jackie Chan

Of course the funniest case of having overdoing it is in the Jackie Chan film "City HUnter".

Whilst fighting one of the end of film bad guys he gets kicked into a Streetfighter machine, the fight then mutates into duels between the various characters, in full costume.

He wins the fight as Chun Li, in full drag with pigtails, using the whirlwind kick. Absolute class
