i hate the whole exclusivity thing so annoying, last time around both pc and xbox fans had to wait for a year, now all the consoles have it, and the PC gamers left high and dry

i cant wait to play this, san andreas on pc was absolutely awesome!!

I do have a monitor, but i still dont wanna buy a console just for one game, when the pc satisfies my every need lol

Good for you. Deny them the PC-only market and they'll be forced to assess how sm... big it is and consider their releases accordingly

Re: GTA4 on PC any time during this century????

It'll come out (as usual) after six odd months I guess. Can't see the point in the delays any more if it's not exclusive to a single platform (it's on Ps3 and 360 now) aside from it takes time for them to port it and they've (apparently) released it full of bugs..

Re: GTA4 on PC any time during this century????

surely xbox user will get updates and and shouldnt be too difficult to port it over to pc these days, when the hardware is almost identical and just needs a touch or two. i suppose there are enough people out there that will buy the console just for the game, seeing as Game are doing bundles etc i just dont want to wait 6 months grrrrrrrrrrr Game Company -> <- Me lol

Re: GTA4 on PC any time during this century????

    Yeah thats the problem

It makes me think that someone should just make a device that uses PC components and just fit them into a tidy, small plastic case. That way every one of them would be the same. They could even make it so it can display on TV's for extra convenience. Put a snazzy logo on it like a big letter Z or something, and it could look quite good. They could call it the Zbox or something like that.

ASus are supposed to be doing something like that acrobat.

The thing is to me the diversity has always been the attraction of the pc market. The fact that if the game isnt running right on ur computer u can upgrade the graphics or get more ram. Consoles its been a set tech so if u get judder ur stuffed

Of course, you'd have to put up with complaints about fan speed, oversized controllers, bricking units etc. But then you could standardise the online service, call it something like Zive! and charge people to play with each other.

I'm sure something like that would be pretty popular in some parts of the world, overtaking games sales for the PC by quite some way, though I don't know how well it'd cope in Asia.

Or you just tweak the game in the first place, and you fix judder for every single machine out there at once.

Re: GTA4 on PC any time during this century????

Sometimes its not always possible to fix the judders so they will work on everything. When there is a lot going on at once even the consoles with their set hardware spec can struggle.

The major difference is that on the PC maybe there will be judder on joe blogs` system with his ati 9700pro graphics and AMDXP processor but upgrading to a sparkly Quad core and 3870 will allow hiw to run it with better graphics and smoother.

I would like to think that ROckstar would take GTA4 and polish it for the PC increase draw distances and lighting affects so that it looks amazing. What I fear though is that if they do actually release it they`ll do a poor job like they did with the original GTA3 game. COnsidering the quality of other game graphics at the time it was awful to see Texture joins everywhere.

At least with GTA san andreas some enterprising people managed to find a way to increase the draw distance which made the game a lot better imo

You don't NEED a HDTV. I'm playing GTA on a standard def 32" CRT telly and it's still beautiful, and damn fun

HDTV for Christmas... I must be patient
