    Thumbs down Painkiller Demo!

If you've played the Painkiller Demo, whats you opinion of it?

I think it lacks good gameplay, a storyline and lastability. Its only good points are the graphics and physics of the game.

If you've yet to play it, heres a link to download the demo!

    Just choose you mirror site.

My minds split so far, seems good for a run around shoot everything (ala Serious Sam). Dunno how long it'll keep you interested in it, but it looks promising so far.

I am on my third attempt to download a working copy !

Days like today make me wonder why game companies don't host their own files - do they want to sell products or not.

Really hoping its a good demo after all this....

    (excuse my grumpiness )

It's certainly brown and sticky, so I'd have to agree with Al

Tried it last night, and thought it was frankly pants. Murky, dismal, boring locations, no real gameplay, just an endless succession of things to kill. Bit like Quake (I) but without the emotional involvement. Is this the game the world's been crying out for? Not unless things are an awful lot worse than I'd suspected...

Game companies don't have gigabit network connections - nor can they afford to budget them.

I played this just now and what immediately hit me were how good the graphics and sound were. That Nvidia intro made me jump!!!

Seems a bit repetitive, but I'll wait and see what the full version is like

Graphics are nice... repetitive though. I like the way you can pin a zombie thing to a wall with a stake gun apart from that its sorely lacking

There's no co-op in it so there goes half the fun. Some of the multiplayer modes look like they could be fun, for a while at least. This kind of game would be perfctly suited for co-op, yet no one ever includes it.

Doesn't look like it'll keep your attention for very long
