Yeah watched this on live the other day, it's in the pacific fighting the japs. Looks pretty good so far, not been a fan of the one not made by infinity ward, but I might be give this one a go.
I hope the multiplayers like united offensive.
That does look nice. I'm rather looking forward to it. I like WW2 games.
It'll be nice to see some ingame footage though. I guess those were pre rendered sequences.

doesn't look all that hot gfx wise to me, anyone else?

sucks that Infinity Ward didn't do it and yet again the played out choice of battlefield...
what happened to the future that it was going to be set in
I believe that IW have comfirmed they will be/are working on COD6 and it will be set in the modern era again. They can't keep up with activisions demands for 1 COD a year, so activision use someone else for the other titles.
As for WW2 being a played out battlefield, I don't agree with this. WW2 lasted for over 5 years and was fought on many, many fronts. But then I'm biased, as I love WW2 games.

IW better be using a new engine for COD6.
Not going to touch this because the last non IW game was crap.
Looks nice but reminds me of company of heroes????? I know, but it does
Realistically, I don't think we will be seeing Windows 7 until 2010 at the earliest and DX11 is due to be announced next month if I'm not mistaken.

Well, last MS said was end '09 (which is in line with their saying it would be released 3 years after Vista. Vista was released fall of '06 to OEMs and Jan. '07 to consumers). However, I don't expect MS to miss the boat on the holiday season again this time, so I'm thinking a November '09 release. ^_^
As far as DX11...I haven't heard anything about it. If its true...DX10 was sure short-lived, eh? It also means I'd need a new video card. >.<
Taken from http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...=8345&Itemid=1Microsoft will start talking about DirectX 11 in less than two weeks. Sources have confirmed that Microsoft game technology conference, previously known as Meltdown and now renamed to Gamefest 2008, will be the place where Microsoft plans to officially announce DirectX 11.
This conference takes place on the 22 and 23 July in Seattle, Washington and it will set you back $550 if you register online. You can find some more details about the conference here.
The big feature of DirectX 11 is Tessellation/Displacement while we also heard that Multithreaded Rendering and Compute Shaders are part of it. DirectX 11 also brings Shader model 5.0 but we don’t know many details about it.
It looks like DirectX 11 will stick to rasterization as there is no any mentioning of Ray tracing support.
Nvidia will also talk about DirectX 11 at its Nvision event / conference in late August 2008.
Not saying it's 100%, I've read it on a few sites now.
