Excellent news. I hope it's true. It'll be nice to have a Battlefield game with a strong single player game.

Our review of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will go up on Friday... and no, there's not much to distinguish between the two of them in gameplay terms.

    They're both bloody good fun!

And now the age old choice, get it on console on Friday or wait and see if it ever does reach the lands of PC goodness.

    Re: Battle field bad company

I wouldn't buy it on console for the simple reason that I hate playing FPS games with a gamepad. If it doesn't come out on PC I'll just give it a miss.

I used to think that for years, but spent a while playing COD4 on the PS3 and it just feels natural now. In fact, I haven't played an fps game on my PC for months!

LOL hell no. bf2 is miles better then this but thats not a bad thing because imo bf2 is on teh same level has counter strike source in terms of best FPS mp games ever.

the reason why i say bf bc is nowhere near bf2 level is because its simply a cut down version of bf2.

    • Cant be a commander and organise different squads to go here and there
    • No custom squads where you can create your own squad and order squad members to perform different tasks
    • lack of fighter jets
    • from what i seen in the demo, maps are too small
    • no warship boats you can control and destroy?
    • finally. only 24 players max in a server. wtf bf2 was 30v30 with minimal lag whilst the 360 version on a 24 player server lags like hell
    • no conquest mode straight out of the box? that's a standard freaking Mode for battlefield!

only thing bf bc has over bf2 is updated graphics and destructible environment.

    Re: Battle field bad company

the things that make bf2 gay and annoying are
commanders who are useless and squads who dont listen.
you get idiots joining your squad who dont perform set tasks
people who fly around in fighter jets attacking infantry
maps that are to bug and hard to protect
30v30 games were laggy andthere was never enough vehicles to go round within easy reach
    conquest mode is boring

the way i look at it, they have taken then annoying things out of bf2 and trimmed it down a bit. i agree squad modes should be better, but i like the style of attack/defend a position, if it gets conquered, move on and defend the next

    Re: Battle field bad company

30v30 maybe laggy for u but not for many including myself. laggy on a dedicated server? lol hardly. it wasnt perfect lag free but alot better then the lag on a 24 PLAYER server in the console versions

you get idiots in every game. doesnt stop me and others from following orders and having fun with the game.

Conquest mode boring? you must of hate all bf games period.

Maps too bug and hard to protect? LOL the maps in bf2 are great and its not impossible to defend or attack various points in the map!

i agree on one thing you say. the lack of Vehicles in each map. sometimes i had to walk ages to the next side of the map.

fighter jets killing infantry? wtf is wrong with that! people in bf bc do the same but with a heli LOL.

commanders that don't do anything? i hardly encountered a commander that did nothing in the game.

    Re: Battle field bad company

i agree and disagree. conquest mode gets boring because thats all there is. the maps in bf2 are great, but they are too big alot of the time for the players that are on them. the thing with heli shooting infantry on bf2 and BC is that infantry can shoot back! couple of supports will soon get rid of it. loads of commanders play for thereselves, i.e. dont command from the back, attack, drop supplies for themselves etc etc.

i love bf2, i played it for years. but little things like lack of reg etc make it some what annoying.

    Re: Battle field bad company

ahh i see point taken. bf2 is not perfect and this bf bc game does sound interesting indeed. just wished we at least had custom squads and commanders in the game. would make team playing a whole lot better and realistic. i also wished that at least 32 players can play in one server too has i feel 24 players is too small for a game like this. if fontlines fuels of war can cater for 32, why cant bf bc?
