    Guitar Hero 3 on PC

I was looking into buying GH3 for the PC after having a blast with it on the 360.

Just wanted to know what people thought of it on the PC?

I know there were a few problems at the start with missing modes and stuff but i hear the patches have fixed/added most of these problems?

    Thanks,
    Guppy.

My main problem with it, is that you can't download new songs. You shouldn't have a problem with your PC, but lags can occur on lesser system (kinda crazy given that it doesn't look that graphically intensive).

Oh right i didn't know that, i would have thought that the PC would have been the best platform to do that on. I think ill take the plunge, its only about 45 i think from amazon.

I think its great on the pc, I was supprised that having a dual core processor is a minimum requirement, but its a blast to play.

Re: Guitar Hero 3 on PC

This is one of the worst ports to a PC from a console EVER. The requirements are sky high and for me to buy a new computer to play it would cost about £600 to meet the minimum requirements xD its mad.

Re: Guitar Hero 3 on PC

The requirements are high, but if your computer can cope with it (luckily a mac pro can ) then its the best version to buy IMO.

I own both the wii and PC versions..and only really play the PC version, but using the wii controller (as its wireless) via GlovePIE..my friends get to use the rubbish controller that actually comes with the PC edition.

The best thing about the PC version - other than vastly improved graphics over all the console editions - is the fact is it so easy to add thousands of extra songs, without having to hack your console or burn your own custom DVDs. It's as simple as downloading or making a tab chart, running a few converter tools and then you have your extra songs. So for example I have a whole bunch of metallica, SOAD, Tool and Offspring songs loaded on at the moment..none of which came with any version of guitar hero.

Awesome fun, highly reccomended If you want to put your own custom songs into your PC version, take a look at www.scorehero.com - lots of info on there.

Re: Guitar Hero 3 on PC

Graphically its a fantastic port (if your computer can handle it full wack that is) but the lack of extra modes and the fact there is no DLC available makes me glad i don't "own" the pc version but have the 360 version instead.

I suppose the best point of the pc version are the customs although it is easier to just play them on FretsOnFire
