CoD4 1.7 released

Go into game (MP) and click the "auto-update" button for linkage to Infinityward patch site

I installed the patch yesterday, but i still get that autoupdate thing

there appears to be a known prob regarding 1.7 and pb, one of my fellow clanners patched up lastnight and suddenly kept being pb kicked for no reason, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an easy way of uninstalling the patch. even uninstalling and reinstalling the game didn't help.

did he manully update pb using pbsetup ?

evenbalance normally fix these things within 48 hours anyway.

was the smallest server patch ive seen for a while., only 2 files

working fine for me. Even seems to have given me proper bullets instead of that rubber rubbish I was using before

I've had a few session on Deadmen's new CoD4 server, been running 1.7 without any issue.

nVidia 177.41 allows CoD4 to run and also the new Folding GPU client, so relatively happy all round, after a little messing with the inf file.

I can't attest to the increase performance of ammunition though, you may be better asking my team-mates about their lethality

I think that new patch is useless, i'll keep 1.6 so i can play on those servers.

I'm back to the original version, from disc, no patches.

I seem to win more...and thats what I like
