    Fsx Gpws

I was talking to a fellow pilot at work the other day about how i like FSX very much but the thing that bugs me the most is it doesn't have GPWS callouts on approach (100, 50, 20 etc) he siad on his he installed the a bit of software which allowed him to. so when i got home i went straight on the pc to find out if i could. the software i found was FScopilot. great ithought it alo gives me other software. so i installed it and started up FSX. it got the screen before the main menu before Vist came up and said the program had stopped responding etc. tried again and it did the same. uninstalled copilot and it work fine. reinstalled copilot and it didn't work again.
so what im wondering is how can i fix it. is it becausce i'm on vista or FSX. is there some other free software thats got callouts.
    thanks in advance

I would have a look on Fileplanet for mods for it. It could all be down to required version numbers. In other words you may have to patch the game to latest build first before installing that particular mod.

    Few links :

    http://www.fileplanet.com/107148/0/0...ection/Patches

    http://www.fileplanet.com/177059/170...r-X-SDK---SP1A

    http://www.fileplanet.com/182291/180...sion-Pack-Demo

One of those links for an update says it gives better support for 3rd party addons so that could actually fix your problem. Definately get it patched up to latest build first though which is the top link. Looking at the lis there is a Service Pack 1 & 2 to get.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks but i've already updated fsx to SP2 and as i brought the standard edition the sdk update wasn't needed ( i think. correct me if i'm wrong) don't know what the last one was though. a mission for the demo.

    Re: Fsx Gpws

I think the last one is a demo for an upcoming mission pack not sure.

I would try getting the SDK, it does state that here is better support for 3rd party mods. Nothing ventured as the old saying goes, its not a big file so worth downloading and trying it.

I don't know a great deal about FSX as I don't play flight Sims at all, literally all I can suggest is having a look about the net for 3rd party mods if those links are no good.
