Nintendo DS/Sony PSP Games - For girls

It's my sisters birthday this week, she's got a DS and a PSP. I've asked her if there's any games for either she would like and she's shrugged her shoulders and said "Anything"

Now if I were to buy her anything I'd just grab her the first thing I see, I really haven't kept an eye on games for these machines. I have no real interest in them to be quite honest, I've always been a devout PC gamer, although I did have a brief break away from PC gaming for a year when I got my xbox crystal.

I know she has a few Sims games for each machine, and I also know she's got Zelda and she's really enjoyed that. I know she really loved Final Fantasy: Advent Children on DVD and am wondering if gettig a final fantasy game is a good idea or not ??

    Looking to spend max £20.

Your answers on a postcard please.

Re: Nintendo DS/Sony PSP Games - For girls

DS - More Brain Training, Mario Kart DS, Mario & Luigi Partners In Time, Disney Magic, New Super Mario Bros.

Or if you want a FF game you have a choice of Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Final Fantasy Fabes, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

All pretty good, Tactics is probably the best of the bunch.

Also what about the Nintendogs stuff? Lots of versions avalible.

All those games are both very good and lady friendly.

PSP - Bit harder to find good games suitable for a wimmins on Sonys 'cool' handheld, its all Super Ninja Rapist Car Racing Karate Sex 7, and Solid Snake Blows Up Cute Animals: Rabbits & Kittens Edition.

You can get Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy Tactics and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, core and tactics being the best of the bunch. CC: FFVII is not a handheld version of FFVII but a prequel.

Only others ones I could suggest are Wall-E, Lego Indiana Jones: TOA and Patapon

Animal Crossing DS perhaps? Though you might have to stretch a couple of quid above 20 for that...

Edit: What about some of the old GBA Zelda games?

Big Brain academy is really good on the DS, I can sit there for ages playing it and my 9 yr old daughter loves it also.

Patapon on the PSP is also really good, another one that grips you as soon as you play it.

Definately LocoRoco and Patapon* for the PSP - both titles have confirmed sequels too

My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

I've also found that Big Brain Academy is really great and entertaining. I've also played both Brain Training games, and I've found Big Brain Academy to be far better.

Re: Nintendo DS/Sony PSP Games - For girls

Thanks for the suggestions guys but when I looked at the games she had, which were some of the ones you all suggested and her boyfriend and boyfriends family bought her some of the others she did'nt have, I got her Worms World Party for the PSP, which seemed to fo down well. I remember her loving the PC version when I had it all those years ago.

Someone I know suggests Harvest Moon.

Don't know if this is actual name though... will try to find out more information.

Downside is having to play as a boy though... but she might enjoy that. I don't know.
