    games for my laptop

    just bought a new laptop for uni and its rather decent, heres the sepcs

    dell inspiron 1720
    1.83core 2 duo,
    8600m gt
    2gb ram

    any recomendations for games, i know for def it can play tf2 but a fps isnt that well suited for it im in the mood for a good rts or rpg. havent played a good rts in months there seems to havent been any new decent releases in ages.

    Fallout 1 and 2 - You can't go wrong. Also:

    Neverwinter Nights 2 would run on that or Knights of the Old Republic; both are real time turn based so are quite good if your going to use the touch pad. I think playing something like Diablo 2 or titan quest would be quite tricky with a touch pad.

    You can pick up the deluxe version of NWN1 with all the addons for £9.99 now, so thats an option.

    Command and Conquer 3 has just made it onto a budget label to so you can pick that up for sub-£20 now to.

    Supreme Commander Gold is a steal at the current price, but larger battles might tax the laptop a bit.

    Dawn of War Collection is a bit older, but will run great and also good value.

    Add The Witcher to the above good choices for RPGs and it'll run better than NWN2 which would struggle.

    PuzzleQuest won't tax it at all but is horribly addictive (try the demo and see).

    If you have an internet connection then Guild Wars is terrific value as well.
