Question What happened to Crystal Dynamics

    Moreso Legacy of Kain series.

Have all the games except the origional Blood Omen (Top Down Zelda stylee game). Yesterday reinstalled Soul Reaver 1 & 2, Blood Omen 2 and Defiance and I am going to go through them again from the start of Soul Reaver. Loads of gaming hours in that lot alone!!!

Defiance ended without the Pillars of Nosgoth being restored so there has to be at least one more tale to tell about Raziel and Kain. I know that one of the programmers died earlier this year at the age of 29 (natural causes), he was the main guy on Defiance. I believe that the other 2 in the team went on to Naughty Dog and released Uncharted for the PS3.

Kain series has some of the best storytelling in games ever, so many twists and turns in the plot with so many OMG moments the stories alone keep you hooked. But we need a conclusion to what is happening in Nosgoth.

Been scooting about looking to see if there will be another game but it has been around 4 yrs now since Defiance was released. There are plenty rumours out there but no solid facts at the min. Anyone else heard anything about the awesome series of games?

And they are making a decent job of it as well. I've been playing their latest efforts on the 360 recently, Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary. Not classics by any stretch, but they look good, are fun to play, no complaints really.

They are doing what they are supposed to, taking a game series with a lot of potential that has been utter crap recently, and making it credible again.

Looking forward to Tomb Raider Underworld in November now that the series is in reasonably safe hands.

Re: What happened to Crystal Dynamics

I was hooked on the Legacy of Kain series since the first one (Blood Omen on the PS1) which was an absolutely fantastic game, (and also Yanos Audrin [sp] in later games was voiced by Odo from Star Trek DS9). I'd love a new LoK game.
