    F.e.a.r.

I know its a really old game (well 3 years) BUt I finally got around to buying it the other week from Game. This has to be the scariest game I have ever played. I thought Bioshock has some scary parts early on but this game has had me bricking it.

DOnt know how far into the game I am yet but the developers have really got their act together with the set pieces and building suspense, there has been a number of moments where I have ended up unloading a clip through a glass window where there is nothing at all

THe worrying thing imo is though that I`m working nights the next 4 days which means 4 ppl alone in a huge building 2 security down in their office and me and another bloke alone upstairs. I dont think I`ll be moving away from my desk until the light comes up in the morning

    Re: F.e.a.r.

Ahh yes...I want to reinstall and play that game again.

Really good atmosphere just a MASSIVE shame on the lack of variations of the enemy.

It is a creepy game and some bits had me confused where to go/what to do; down to the panic induced "get me out of here" mode.

Not tried the MP, but like you I picked the game up about 10 months back.

I did feel the game was a little short but maybe I just wanted more out of it.

In the same vein, I bought Clive Barker's Jericho but it's been quite a let down so far.

If you have the exapnsion packs, let me know what you think of them...I am trying to find them to buy (on their own).

    Re: F.e.a.r.

the expansions are not anything special, basically the same as the first but not as scary...

but you can get all 3 games for like a tenner now in the "gold version" and well worth it!!

the best bit is at the start where you get hit by the main bloke.. tht bit gave me a heart attack!

Aye that bit scared the poop out of me.

Walking down the corridor in the office block when the body came through the window I really pooped it.

    Re: F.e.a.r.

Yeah I remember that I didnt have the rig to play it at full settings when it came out, but about a year later, I played it fully with a better GPU, and it was pretty fun. It is pretty spooky, and although it did get a bit samey, I did think that it was great.

Wont spoil it for you but there is a sequence right at the end that is weeeeeeeeeeeeeellll creepy. You'll know when you get to it!!!

Enjoy that bullet time mode!!! Oh and then grenades still look great in slow-mo
