Pc Games?

Any recommendations? im just looking for either a good rts/rpg/fps(3rd person best though)/racing(has to support the saitek r660 wheel) to tie me over while im waiting for the good line up like crysis warhead etc. I currently have:
Unreal 3
CS 1.6
BF2/2142
Supreme Commander(to slow imo)
Red Alert2
Hellgate London
Flat Out
Republic commando
Diablo 2
Halo
Battlefront 2
Grid

I dont really play them anymore and i got vista 64bit now so old games like red alert are unplayable . Hopefully something cheap like <£20, planning on buying titan quest from play tonight as it seems pretty good. Oh anything with co-op is prefered as i like pl;aying with me mates online like vegas 2(did have it but got bored).

Thanks.

I'll always recommend the Dawn of War RTS series. You can pick up the Gold pack with 2 of the expansions for about £20 off Steam.

Crysis?
It's not up everyone's street but it looks luverly, is pretty fun to play, and runs better with 64-bit operating systems.

Fair enough.
For RPG's Oblivion, and Fallout 3 when it comes out. Other games coming soon you may like such as Far Cry 2 and Call of Duty 5. When I'm looking for a game to buy I tend to go through the first hundred or so of these, and then pick out the one's that look interesting, and do some google searches, to get a bit more detail.

Re: Pc Games?

If you have a spare 40 hours or so to waste, buy Devil May Cry.

The Legendary Dark Knight mode on PCs rocks (is one of the few games which I keep on feeling this urge to go and complete properly, with all skills and stuff maxed out..) as you mostly have to mass kill everything on the screen.

Mosters literally fill it, for that matter. If you want I can send you a brief vid I made whilst testing fraps to show you just how many monsters you can get to kill in one small space. I think I counted about 40... excluding the ones that respawn of course... in a space the same size as the room where you fight about 10 monsters (and that feels about right in terms of not dying should you muck up one combo and everything can hit you) on an easier difficulty. Is fun.

Apart from that:

Oblivion
Shivering Isles expansion pack for that, although KotN isn't that good apparently.

If you like RTS:
Genesis Rising (is really good... if you get a non-buggy version. Some issues with the older versions which were a right pain)
Mark of Chaos (is great for wasting a few hours.. although cost may not justify it)
Total War (Medieval II is good although Rome is something I prefer personally)
Age of Empires III is apparently quite good, although not had the chance to play it

FPS:

Quake 4 is always amusing, if only to waste time
Orange Box (Must get )
Halo 2 (so you can play 2/3 of the storyline on a computer instead of an XBOX/360/PS2/PS3)
FEAR: Perseus Mandate is also something I haven't played but that one of my friends says I should borrow off of him at some point.
There's another one I can think of. I just can't remember the name... you shoot stuff in it.

Oooh - and Heroes of Might and Magic or Dark Messiah are both good games! Can't remember genre though lol.

Re: Pc Games?

Had oblivion but it didnt like it(crashing etc) but already gotpretty far on the 360 version(was good tbh). I was planning on getting halo 2 because it was ok on the xbox (halo1=best but gettin on now tbh) but can someone tell me if it has online co-op? so i could play like lan or over the internet with a mate through the campaign? if so, how many does it support, just the normal 2 players?.

Gunna order titan quest in abou 5mins as ive just got some money . Also, whats the best place to pre-order pc games? amazon and play are the same price for crysis but id rather order from the place that would get it to me the day of release or the day before(game did that with halo3 ).

Neverwinter Nights 2, you should be able to pick it up for around £15, probably less. Brilliant game

Or, if you can

The Witcher, that might be available for around £19.99 now if you around.
