    Google to buy Valve?

    *Charlie alert*

    The Inq reckon that google are going to buy Valve, for Steam of course. While there's absolutely no indication of any accuracy, it would be cool wouldn't it?

    Demerjian's at it again then.

    Can't really see this happening.

    I'm pretty sure Google has the skills to create a very good CDN, and don't see how Valve's client list would benefit Google.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    It's not like they have a solidly competing system themselves that they'll be taking away from us. Hopefully it'd just mean that I can actually buy something from Steam and have it take less than a week to download for a change.

    Re: Google to buy Valve?

    I don't really see that valve would have any need for google to buy them really, it's not like they are unpopular...and google buying them would probably end up ruining it with them changing it to more google-like. Valve is good as it is. Leave it alone

    I can't help but be reminded of the boardroom in The Meaning of Life...
    Which brings us once again to the urgent realization if how much there is still left to Own.

    Re: Google to buy Valve?

    Maybe google buying valve would motivate them to hurry up and get their HL2 episodes out and get moving on HL3! Some counterstrike source updates wouldnt hurt either!
