    Condemned - PC

I see it is £5 at Game

Is it worth buying, seeing as I quite like the look of the 2nd game and I assume that it will eventually port over to the PC.

    Re: Condemned - PC

I bought this some time ago, it's worth £5. I found it pretty tough but it does have some excellent freaky moments that layer on the atmosphere. The second is better, but this is ok.

    Good to hear noTHINGface.

I was disappointed in Clive Barker's Jericho when I got that for a few £s - expecting a scary atmospheric shooter only to get bored in about 30 minutes.

So in anticipation for Condemned 2 for the PC (on budget given the time), I'd thought I'd give the first game a whirl if it was any good. I like difficult games; they make the game last alot longer for me.

Yup - I picked this up not long after its launch so paid almost top dollar for this! I regret it! Bored after the first level but stuck through it. There was only one memorable moment in that game (Gladiatorial arena) the rest was rinse and repeat levels and enemies.

Anyways, hope you have fun with Condemned (if you nab it for a fiver that is).

LoL. Well the challenge is to find it now. Be good to bash another game over the weekend instead of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl (or get round to reinstalling Oblivion, Warsow, F.E.A.R. or Red Alert).

Definitely worth getting for a fiver! A really suspenseful (is that a word?) game... [There's a good concise write-up of the original release here, if it's of interest: http://www.itreviews.co.uk/games/g240.htm ]

can't imagine this game without rumble.

it's not the same if you can't *feel* the hobo's skull cracking as you swing a pipe into it

Does it support the xbox pad? I can't be bothered to reinstall to find out.

Couldn't find a copy of it in Game when I went to buy The Witcher:EE. Shame. Might have to buy it online off their site.
